Following the concert, all attendees are invited to attend a dessert reception and meet the musicians.
This is the 31st anniversary season for Summerfest, which is the longest running music festival in Florida. The mission of the Summerfest concert series is to promote music, donate musical instruments, and work with young students, all of which aligns directly with the Weston Music Society's mission.
The Weston Music Society’s mission is "to bring the finest music of all genres to Weston,” states Weston Music Society's President Lou Marett. “The intimacy of this setting is unique and enhances the interaction among the audience, the musicians, and the music.”
“Proceeds from the Summerfest concert, and all of our events, go toward our In-School Music program which reaches over 6,000 elementary school students each year and our scholarship program which allows local student musicians to continue their music education in college,” notes Rose Sklar, Vice President of Ways and Means for the Weston Music Society. “So, attendees not only enjoy a very special concert, but also help pass on their love of music to future generations.”
